PURPOSE OF STUDY: To assess the ease of use and effectiveness of the Engenex device (510K approved). We applied the negative pressure therapy device to full thickness wounds on patients who would otherwise be considered for the exiting negative pressure therapy device (VAC). We used the product on 10 patients and collected data to determine ease of use and healing progress. METHODS: 1. Type of patient to be studied: Patient with a full-thickness acute wound who would otherwise be considered for VAC. 2. Number of patients to be studied: 10 3. Duration of Study: Retrospective chart review for six months 4. Facilities to be used: Abington Memorial Hospital DRUGS INVOLVED: None OUTCOMES: The Bio-Dome Dressing and Engenex NPWT were easy to apply and promoted granulation tissue and patient comfort.
